Director of Children’s and Family Ministry Kristen Nistler shared Y.I. materials at a recent district conference.

Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND hosted a special stewardship message on Sunday, May 18, 2014. “We wanted to refocus on stewardship before our Sunday School kids left for the summer,” said Zion Director of Children’s and Family Ministry Kristen Nistler. As part of the Sunday School opening and Zion’s children’s message, the Young Investors (Y.I.) Club was introduced. All the children attending the children’s message received Y.I. piggy banks plus Y.I. materials.

Nistler and her husband, Fred, have four children who are all members of LCEF’s Y.I. Club. They also opened Y.I. accounts for their godchildren. “The 3.5% rate for the Y.I. account is great and I really appreciate the extra credit. Good grades and community service are important things to encourage in our church,” said Nistler. “Plus, Y.I. is interactive; I appreciate the program materials including the devotions to encourage good stewardship for children and families.”
