Celebrating a mortgage burning is a good feeling; celebrating your church mortgage burning is undoubtedly something very special.
There is a sense of corporate accomplishment when members and leadership have prayed, worked, served and given together for so many years. On Sunday, January 18, 2015, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn. gave thanks to God for their many blessings as they burned their mortgage. Congratulations!
“Redeemer has made a commitment to maintaining a small neighborhood church atmosphere of friendship and fellowship,” said Senior Pastor James Heining. “Our well-maintained and accessible facilities are used by numerous community and congregational groups. Redeemer's members are dedicated to doing the Lord's work.” Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) has been blessed to partner with Redeemer and help fund their facility improvements over the years. “We rejoiced right alongside Redeemer’s members as they gave praise and thanks to our Lord last Sunday,” said Minnesota South District LCEF Vice President Kurt Fuhr.
For more information on how LCEF can help fund your next LCMS church project or how you can personally invest to help further the Lord’s work, contact your local district LCEF vice president, visit lcef.org or call 800-843-5233.
