Each year Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) districts in the upper Midwest offer $1,000 scholarships. Applications are accepted from September through the end of February and the awards are presented during December at the award winner's home congregation.
North Wisconsin District (NWD) Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) Vice President Dennis Johnson presented a $1,000 Scholarship to Katrina Dickinson on Nov. 29, 2015.
A member of Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau, Wisconsin, Katrina is a junior at Concordia University – St. Paul (CSP). She is preparing to be a Lutheran school teacher majoring in education, minoring in Confessional Lutheranism and is seeking licensure for early childhood through third grade. Minnesota South (MNS) District LCEF Vice President Kurt Fuhr presented scholarships to two students this month: Cole Schuessler and Elizabeth Parrish.
MNS District LCEF Scholarship award winner Cole Schuessler is a member of Woodbury Lutheran Church, Woodbury, Minnesota, graduated from Concordia Academy High School, Roseville, Minnestoa last spring and now attends Concordia University – St. Paul. Read more about Cole's story here.

Applications for 2016 LCEF upper Midwest district scholarships are now being accepted at lcefuppermidwest.org. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2016.
