The young people at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota did a fantastic job winning Lutheran Church Extension Fund's (LCEF) 2015 Y.I. Challenge. The group received the Minnesota North (MNN) District LCEF $1,000 award on February 22, 2015.
"We are so blessed," said Glori Dei Youth Director Lorna Hensch. "The money will go towards sending youth and leaders to the [National Youth Gathering] in 2016." Pictured receiving the check for the Y.I. Challenge was Pastor Frank Milo and Ms. Hensch. The funds were presented by MNN District LCEF Vice President George Miller.
Trinity Lone Oak (TLO) Lutheran School in Eagan, Minnesota was victorious in the Minnesota South (MNS) District LCEF Y.I. Challenge. TLO's Young Investors (Y.I.) Stamp Coordinator Diane Streich received the $1,000 award on behalf of her school on Sunday, April 26, 2015. MNS District LCEF Vice President Kurt Fuhr presented the check at the morning worship service.
